Subject: We are pleased to announce that the Northern Regional Base of the Teaching Practice Research Program will hold two workshops on Monday, July 14, 2025 and Wednesday, July 23, 2025. We sincerely invite your faculty members to register and actively participate.


Explanation:

  1. Our university is implementing the 2025 Teaching Practice Research Program – Northern Regional Base Project, commissioned by the Ministry of Education. To strengthen the cross-university support network among higher education institutions in the Taipei and Northern regions, we have invited the conveners and outstanding principal investigators of the Education and Science/Mathematics disciplines of the Teaching Practice Research Program. They will share details regarding proposal applications and execution experiences. Through the regional base model, this project aims to promote a teacher support system and fulfill the mission of student-centered teaching practice research.

  2. Event Information:

    (1) Workshop 1: From Proposal to Classroom – Advancement and Innovation in the Education Discipline

    • Topic 1: Key Points of Application and Highlights in Proposal Writing for the Education Discipline
      Speaker: Professor Ching-Ju Mao, Convener of the Education Discipline, Teaching Practice Research Program

    • Topic 2: From Writing to Transformation: How Structured Reflection Promotes Preservice Teachers’ Professional Growth and Self-Efficacy
      Speaker: Associate Professor Pei-Ju Lin, Department of Special Education, National Taitung University

    • Format: Google Meet (link will be sent via email after registration)

    • Time: Monday, July 14, 2025, 14:00–16:00

    (2) Workshop 2: Smooth Proposal Applications – Insights into the Science and Mathematics Discipline Application and Review

    • Topic 1: Understanding the Context: Key Points and Characteristics of Science and Mathematics Discipline Proposals
      Speaker: Distinguished Professor Chieh-Shan Chen, Chief Convener of the Science and Mathematics Discipline, Teaching Practice Research Program

    • Topic 2: Decoding Review Criteria: Sharing Highlights to Enhance Science and Mathematics Proposals
      Speaker: Professor Yi-Wen Su, Deputy Convener of the Science and Mathematics Discipline, Teaching Practice Research Program

    • Topic 3: From Classroom to Nature: Knowledge Transformation and Practice in Geology
      Speaker: Assistant Professor Ying-Ju Chang, Institute of Earth Sciences, National Taiwan Ocean University

    • Format: Google Meet (link will be sent via email after registration)

    • Time: Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 10:00–12:00

  3. Certificate: An electronic certificate of participation will be issued to those who attend the entire workshop.

  4. Target Participants: Faculty members from public and private universities and colleges, as well as anyone interested in these events.
