Sound Art/聲音藝術

Course Introduction

This course follows a "thematic" workshop approach, starting with an introduction and appreciation of sound art. Students will begin by learning basic soldering techniques and explore the following sound workshops through hands-on practice: "Atari Punk Console Synthesizer", "Contact Mic Piezoelectric Buzzer", "Elektrosluch Mini City Electromagnetic Wave Receiver", "Jumping Speaker", and "Max/MSP + APC". While soldering, students will also learn about speaker principles and the basic knowledge and application of electronic materials.

Interactive Installations/互動裝置

Arduino, when integrated into various fields of technology and art, is one of the most common elements. This course aims to introduce and apply Arduino as the core, providing an accessible understanding of tech-art. Students will learn the essential tools, techniques, and hands-on experience needed for creating and solving problems in tech-art. The course will also enable students to practically apply this knowledge in new media art creation and real-world projects.

In the process of device design and fabrication, digital manufacturing methods are crucial for quickly and accurately completing devices. Common fabrication methods include 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC. This course will focus on introducing and operating the software and hardware for 3D printing and laser cutting.
