This lecture series is supported by the Ministry of Education’s AI in Arts Cross-Disciplinary Talent Cultivation Program and implemented as part of the university’s Digital Innovation Cross-Disciplinary Microcredit Program.
In the 2025 Fall semester (Academic Year 114-1), the course “Exploring the Boundaries of Knowledge and Creativity: Ethical Issues in Generative Artificial Intelligence” (Course Code: Undergraduate A050006 / Graduate A040002) features four guest lectures by external experts.
Session ① – Ethics and Foundations of Generative AI This session introduces the fundamental concepts of generative AI, its applications, technical principles, social and individual impacts, as well as ethical guidelines and standards.

∥Speaker∥ Lucien C.H. Lin Legal Consultant, Jun-Li Intellectual Property Office; Project Lead, CC Taiwan Mr. Lin specializes in technology and legal issues, particularly those related to open-source and public licensing. He previously worked at Academia Sinica’s Open Source Software Foundry, focusing on research in public licensing models. He has also served as a committee member or consultant for the Executive Yuan, Examination Yuan, National Development Council, Ministry of Culture, National Palace Museum, and Taipei City Government’s Public Participation Office.
Session ② – Ethics and Law in Generative AI This session explores legal frameworks, privacy protection, data security, and the legality and appropriateness of applying generative AI technologies in copyright-related contexts.

∥Speaker∥ Patrick Lee Managing Attorney, Liuhe Law Firm Mr. Li has long served as a legal consultant for cultural and creative industries as well as arts and cultural institutions. He currently leads the 2024 National Culture and Arts Foundation Legal Consultation Service for the Arts, serves as a member of the 17th Advisory Committee of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and is the Chair of the Cultural and Arts Law Committee of the Taipei Bar Association.
Session ③ – Practical Applications and Ethical Issues of Generative AI This session introduces AI applications and solutions developed within ethical frameworks, discussing the ethical challenges and considerations that arise in practice.

Session ④ – Algorithmic Bias and Fairness This session presents AI applications and solutions developed within ethical frameworks, focusing on the issues of algorithmic bias and fairness, and discussing the ethical implications involved.
