The Digital Innovation Interdisciplinary Micro-Credit Program provides learning resources in: programming, visual design, interactive installation design, generative AI applications, and AI ethics.
Courses offered in the Fall Semester (114-1) are listed below. All students are welcome to enroll!
Instructor: Prof. Ssu-Hsuan Wu Course Code: A050007 (Eligible for General Education credits in Science and Technology)
Starting from zero, this course introduces the fundamentals of computer science and computational thinking. Using the visual programming tool p5.js, students will gradually learn programming concepts and transform technological language into artistic creation through simple and engaging hands-on exercises.
Instructor: Prof. Ssu-Hsuan Wu Course Code: A050008 (Eligible for General Education credits in Science and Technology)
This course focuses on generative AI image creation. Students will learn to use tools such as Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, develop prompt design skills, and explore various forms of expression, from static images to animation and 3D generation.
Instructor: Prof. Shu-Yu Lin Course Code: 1990079 (General Education: Science and Technology)
Centered on Arduino applications and incorporating TinyML (Tiny Machine Learning) concepts, this course teaches students how to design and build interactive installations, as well as how to integrate AI into embedded systems to create intelligent and interactive artworks.
Instructor: Prof. Pei-Chi Kuo Course Code: A050003 (Eligible for General Education credits in Science and Technology) Intensive course format
This course introduces AIGC (AI-Generated Content), including the fundamental concepts and principles of AI technology. Students will explore how AI is applied across different artistic fields and gain hands-on experience in relevant techniques and creative methods.
In addition, the course incorporates content from the Institute for Information Industry (III) Certification in Generative AI Art and Design. 👉 Students enrolled in this course will receive full sponsorship to take the certification exam on the afternoon of October 3.
Instructor: Prof. Chun-Wen Chen Course Codes: A050006 (Undergraduate), A040002 (Graduate) Intensive course format
Most students have experience using generative AI tools—but what ethical issues should be considered?
This course approaches AI ethics and copyright issues from an artistic perspective. Experts and scholars will be invited to discuss key topics such as:
