Regarding the 2025 (Year 114) Teaching Practice Research Program for Higher Education Institutions – Please Review the Details Below.


Details:

1. Program Overview

According to Article 5 of the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) Guidelines for Subsidizing Teaching Practice Research in Higher Education Institutions, proposals fall into ten academic categories:

  • General Education (including Physical Education), Education, Humanities & Arts, Design, Business & Management, Social Sciences (including Law & Politics), Engineering, Mathematics & Science, Medical & Health Sciences, Biotechnology & Agriculture, and Livelihood Sciences.
  • Since the 2019 academic year (108), two additional project categories were introduced:
    • University Social Responsibility (USR)
    • Technical & Practical Studies
  • Since 2021 (110 academic year), the USR category has been eligible for multi-year funding to better align with long-term research objectives.
  • New for 2025 (Year 114): The addition of the "Emotional Health & Well-being" category.

2. Application Timeline

📅 Submission Period:

  • November 21, 2024 (Thursday) – December 10, 2024 (Tuesday)

📩 Submission Method:

  • Faculty members must submit the following documents via email to the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at yuyin@academic.tnua.edu.tw:
    1. Proposal Application Form
    2. Self-Evaluation Form
    3. Budget Allocation Form
  • Relevant documents can be downloaded from the CTL website’s Resources Download Section.
  • Initial Review:
    • CTL will verify application documents for compliance.
    • Applicants will receive email notifications for any required revisions.

📌 Final Submission Deadline:

  • December 12, 2024 (Thursday) – Faculty members must upload their finalized proposals to the MOE Teaching Practice Research Program system.

  • New Users: Must register an account before submission.
  • Account Transfers: Faculty transferring institutions should update their account before submission.
  • Important:
    • Ensure frequent saving of data during online form submission to prevent loss.
    • Do not apply security settings to uploaded PDF files, as this may affect the review process.

3. Research Alignment with Institutional Goals

Faculty members must ensure that their research direction, course planning, and student development strategies align with:

  • TNUA’s institutional development objectives
  • The Higher Education SPROUT (Sustainable Progress and Reform for Teaching Excellence) Initiative

5. Additional Notes

📌 Conflict of Interest Disclosure:

  • Faculty members must disclose any conflicts of interest before submitting their proposal by completing the "Identity Relationship Disclosure Form (Pre-Submission)."

📌 Recipients:

  • Primary: Faculty members from all TNUA teaching units (including graduate programs).
  • CC: TNUA Academic Affairs Office, Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).
