Regarding the application for the "Outstanding Teaching Assistant Selection" for the 2nd semester of the 113th academic year, please assist in publicizing this information.

Details:

  1. In accordance with the university's "Teaching Assistant Implementation Guidelines," the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is responsible for organizing the training and assessment of teaching assistants.
  2. The primary responsibilities of teaching assistants include assisting instructors with teaching-related tasks such as course preparation, after-class tutoring, leading group discussions, and demonstrations. Specific duties include:
    • Preparing teaching materials
    • Assisting with grading
    • Managing and maintaining the course platform (not limited to the Arts Learning Platform)
    • Documenting teaching processes (in text or visual formats)
    • Other teaching and learning support activities
  3. Each semester, CTL conducts 3 to 4 teaching assistant training workshops. Assessment criteria are determined by the course instructors and involve submitting an application form at the beginning of the semester, completing an online satisfaction survey at midterm, and submitting an evaluation form at the end of the semester. The Teaching Assistant Selection Committee will conduct a review, selecting two outstanding teaching assistants per semester. The awards include:
    • Gold Award: NT$5,000 and a certificate
    • Silver Award: NT$3,000 and a certificate
  4. Application Guidelines:
    • Application Period: From now until March 21, 2025 (Friday)
    • Application Documents:
      • Submit the "Outstanding Teaching Assistant Selection Application Form" as an electronic file to CTL's email (ctltnua@gmail.com)
      • Email Subject: "113-2 Semester Outstanding Teaching Assistant Selection Application"

    • Eligibility:
      • Application must be submitted by the course instructor
      • The applicant must be a teaching assistant who has actively contributed to course instruction or management
      • No restrictions on employment type (part-time assistants and student workers are eligible)
