【Learning Support】

Continuously assist in enhancing students' digital literacy and connect cross-school learning resources, while supporting faculty in developing and applying teaching strategies such as "Problem-Solving-Oriented Teaching" and "Learning Portfolio-Based Teaching". These strategies aim to gradually improve students' skills in reading, writing, communication, expression, critical thinking, reflection, and problem-solving, ultimately enhancing their learning outcomes.

The approach is as follows:

【Enhancing Students' Digital Expression Skills】

  • Organize various courses such as multimedia design, project planning presentations, etc., to enhance students' basic ability to express themselves using digital tools. Provide learning channels and resources outside of departmental courses, increasing their options and competitiveness for future career planning.

【ecording Student Learning Progress】

  • Through a monthly newsletter, one or two student interview articles will be featured, documenting their experiences and reflections on learning at the university. This initiative aims to provide teachers and staff with different perspectives on courses and teaching methods through students' observations in the educational environment, creating an alternative channel for dialogue. Additionally, these records will serve as firsthand data for planning related learning support activities.

The strategies implemented by our center in supporting student learning are as follows:

  • Teaching Media: Promote digital learning portfolios, enhance students' digital literacy, assist students in fully documenting their learning achievements, and integrate diverse internal resources to organize student community learning activities.
  • Teaching Development: Support teachers in developing innovative teaching methods and mentor new teachers by organizing teacher development seminars, workshops, and other activities to stimulate new teaching ideas.
  • Teaching Assistant (TA) Support: Promote the TA system and learning communities, fostering TA communication and learning dynamics.

【International Experience Learning Program】

In response to the global trend of internationalization, cultivating international talent is a priority educational goal. To enhance Taiwanese youth’s global perspective and mobility, universities are encouraged to integrate the Gap Year concept into curricula, programs, lectures, and other activities. Teachers will design clear learning themes, providing students with a structured learning experience. Students will be guided to independently plan international travel and experiential learning based on the project theme and their field of study, fostering self-exploration, enriching life experiences, and developing independence. This program expands diverse pathways for international experience learning.
