In light of the rapid rise of emerging media in recent years and the associated information risks—such as misinformation and disinformation during the dissemination process—this Ministry aims to cultivate university students’ media literacy competencies, including “seeking and acquiring information,” “evaluating and interpreting information,” and “creating and sharing.” To encourage faculty to integrate media literacy topics into real-life issues, develop innovative teaching strategies, and to foster students’ reflection on media literacy course content and its application in real-world contexts, the Ministry is organizing the abovementioned faculty lesson plan competition and student short video competition. Details are as follows:
(1) Media Literacy Lesson Plan Design Competition for University Faculty
Eligibility: Full-time and part-time faculty members at public and private universities and colleges.
