What Art Can Do in the XXIst Century?

Bernard Stiegler, one of the most renowned French contemporary philosophers, former Director of Centre for Research and Innovation, Centre Georges-Pompidou, is co-invited by TaipeiArts Doctoral Research Lab, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and Institute of School Research and Culture Studies (SRCS), National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), to visit Taipei and Hsinchu from Nov 1 till Nov 5, launching the forum series “What Art Can Do in the XXIst Century?” , where there will be four sessions in total. 


Also, it is our great honor to invite Dr. Xu Yu, the Lecturer of Media School, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to undertake the host speaker along with Bernard Stiegler for the five-day forum series. 


 “Art in the Anthropocene Era” and “Shaping the Neganthropocene” are to be the subjects in the forum series, respectively, on Nov 1 and Nov 2, at Taipei National University of the Arts and Taipei Fine Arts Museum, launching the conversation together with Mr. Stiegler, as well as all the scholars and artists in regard to various fields in Taiwan. Furthermore, all the faculty and students of the art world, as well as those who concern about “How Do Art and Philosophy of Technology Confront the Problems of Current World” are all welcome to attend the forum.
